Autism awareness

PTK Autism project

The BCC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (the National Honor Society for two-year colleges) was involved during the 2010-2011 academic year in a project to promote awareness of autism on campus and beyond.

PTK members planned a number of events, which included speakers and movies/documentaries.  They also held a discussion of House Rules by Jodi Picoult, a novel about learning how to cope with having an autistic family member.

Office of Specialized Services

The BCC Office of Specialized Services (OSS) provides academic support and appropriate accommodations allowing students equal access to their college curriculum and other college programs.

The office is located in the Pitkin Building, Room L-116.
