The current edition of the APA Publication Manual is the seventh edition. With each new edition of the Publication Manual there is a transition period, in which students and professors continue to write using the previous edition’s style. We recommend that professors and students make the switch and adopt the seventh edition Publication Manual starting in September 2020 or thereafter.
In the meantime, we’ve archived citation guides to the sixth edition APA Style here. These will be available until further notice.
