Who, What, .......

When researching facts are often the starting point for forming our opinions.  While researching DACA first we will want to establish Who, What, Why, When, and How facts about DACA.

So stated as questions:

  1. Who does DACA apply to?
  2. What is DACA?
  3. Why does DACA exist?
  4. When did DACA begin?
  5. How does DACA impact the Who?

To begin, read the first section of the article Growing Up in the Shadow of DACA (just up to where it says Erika Andiola) and record your answers.  The beginning of the article may not provide all of the answers.

Government Documents

There are many articles and opinions about DACA.  The article Growing Up in the Shadow of DACA in one such article.  A little later in the process you will choose a personal narrative from the article to investigate further but for now we need  facts.

Because DACA is a government program administered through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service we will go directly to their DACA page by searching on Google.

By using a limiter (special search formatting) we can easily limit our search to U.S. Government sites.  site:.gov  site: tells the computer to only look at websites that end in .gov

When we combine this with DACA our first hit is the USCIS page on DACA.

site:.gov DACA

Give it a try!
