Learn how to use PowerNotes to help you annotate research and track your sources!

What Is PowerNotes?

PowerNotes is a browser extension(compliments of the BCC Library) that allows you to highlight and take notes on articles as you read them.  You can also organize your notes and source information, and export that information to a Google or Word document.

Sign Up for an Account

To sign up, go to:

and click the blue button to "Add browser extension".  Follow the prompts.  You must use your BCC email address!

Test Project

To help learn how this works, we are going to work on a test project where our research questions is - Do cats make good leaders?  

STEP ONE. Go to the linked article. Find and highlight a fact about cat intelligence. 

STEP TWO.  Click on the WSJ article and find and highlight a passage on Stubbs' tenure as mayor. 

STEP THREE.  Go to the linked article about Limberbutt McCubbins' (failed) presidential campaign.  Find and highlight a passage that would support your argument.
